Step 3: Add
Game Information We've got our new game, so let's add some
information to it. GameDiary gives you the ability to add media (e.g., pictures, sound and video clips),
personal game notes, and statistics for
each and every game of your Season! Let's walk through the process
of adding each of these types of information to your new game.
Media:
-
Click on the Media tab located below the game schedule.
-
Select Notebook/New Media item from the main menu.
-
Select Notebook/Add Media/Load Picture file.
-
Select a file within the Open Media dialog box.
-
A miniature picture (i.e., thumbnail) appears in the media item.
-
Double click the media item to view it
Similar steps are performed to add a video or sound clip.
GameDiary supports most of the standard media formats including
BMP, JPEG, AVI, MPEG, WAV and MP3.
GameDiary also supports Drag
and Drop to make the process of adding media even easier! Just
drag a picture to the media page and GameDiary automatically creates a
new Media item and adds the picture.
The Media Tab
Game Notes:
-
Click on the Personal tab below the game schedule.
-
Within the My Performance box or the
Notes on Opponent box, type in your game note
-
Click on either the Pregame or Team tabs and add
information as appropriate.
Note that you are able to modify the tab and box captions to
customize the game note topics to your own needs!
The Personal Tab
Statistics:
-
Click on the first field within the statistics panel and add an
appropriate number. (e.g. Pass Attempts - 12)
-
Press the tab key to move to the next field and again enter a
number.
(e.g. Pass Completions - 7)
-
Note that calculated statistics have a lighter color. You do
not enter any numbers, but instead let GameDiary calculate the value
for you.
The Statistic Panel
That's it! Once you have entered your game information, you
can print out a Game Summary report, a game schedule/calendar and even generate a comprehensive
Statistics summary report.
