Centralize
your information management
For recruiters and
recruiting organizations, maintaining a detailed record of a player's
attributes, skills, accomplishments, and relationship communications,
helps maximize the opportunity to successfully recruit or place a
student athlete.
For
sports information personnel,
responsibilities include maintaining their organization's relationship
with the media, setting up interviews, preparing press releases,
developing media guides and generating information for their organization's web site.
As a recruiter, media relations person, or other sports administrator,
here are some benefits of the Sports Information Desk that will help you
better fulfill your responsibilities:
-
Immediate access to ALL
of your information on a player, team, or game is available to you
by simply opening a Season. Eliminate wasted time searching
for paper or electronic documents and provide quicker response to
your customer information requests.

In addition to storing a Season on your personal computer, Season
data can also be stored on your local area network server's "common
drive" and accessed from PCs that have SID installed.
-
Easily offload Season
data to CD-ROM or DVD media to reduce your paper-based storage
requirements and free office space used by file cabinets.
-
Maintain in-depth player
profiles and "at a glance" sports cards to provide quick access to information required for media
player pieces and requests.

Interact with your
information customers
In addition to
helping you to meet your daily information management responsibilities, the
Sports Information Desk also provides you with an easy way to share, transfer
and communicate sports information to your customers.
- If your internal customers (e.g., recruiters,
coaches) are also using the Sports
Information Desk, you can provide them with direct access to your Season
data. They can either open the Season directly over your
internal network or you can give them a Season CD that contains their
team's information. Furthermore, they can create their own Season from
your data and can reuse the Season's sport information for their own
purposes.
Although your web site provides your coaches with access to current,
public team information, SID provides easy access to both current
and historical team/player data. Unlike most team web
sites, SID also enables recruiters or coaches to manage and modify more private
data and to do so in ways that meet their own needs
- Use the student athlete questionnaire profile to help collect,
report and distribute media related player biographical information.
- Generate a CD that contains both your Season data
and a read-only version of GameDiary. These CDs can be distributed to the
team's players and coaches at the end of the Season.
