The Sports Information Desk's user interface provides easy access to all of
your Season information. Both team and player information are accessible
with a couple clicks of your mouse button.
The Sports Information Desk’s primary user interface is different from GameDiary’s interface and is more suited to managing a team of
players. The various
panels (described below) that comprise SID's user interface are resizable using
the “splitter” bars located between each information area. Note that SID
is similar to GameDiary in that the data currently displayed is for the selected
game and the profiled player (or profiled player's team) in the active Season.
You can toggle SID's user interface to appear like Gamediary's
interface by selecting View/Player’s Notebook on the main menu.
This is useful if you are creating a GameDiary
CD for a player.
Schedule Panel
The middle upper panel contains the
Season schedule for the
currently profiled player's team. Much of the information displayed in
other panels, is dependent on what game is selected. The Game Notebook's
contents and the player/team statistics both change when you select a different
game - showing the information linked to the selected game.
Game Notebook Panel
The middle lower panel contains the Game Notebook for the
currently profiled player's team. The Game Notebook's
media page displays the selected game's
pictures, video and sound clips. You can also add
game notes for each game.
Roster Panels
The leftmost top panel always contains the roster for the currently
profiled player's team while the panel directly below displays the current
game's opponent roster. The Team rosters
and multiple player support feature page describes this panel in more detail
Player/Team Information Panel
The rightmost top panel displays statistics and other information related to
the currently profiled player or their team.
At the top of this panel is a dropdown list control that initially is set to
"Player Information". When this item is selected, the panel displays the
profiled player's information. This includes the player's portrait
picture/sports card button,
player's profile button,
game statistics and a
chart
that visually depicts game statistics and their averaged values.
When you click on the dropdown list, you can select "Team
Information". With this item selected, the panel's elements show statistic
information for the profiled player's team.
Documents Panel
The rightmost bottom panel displays documents and other
external files that you want associated with your Season.
This topic is discussed in more detail in the
External Documents section.
